Not-Always-So-Lazy Saturday

So here we are. I have been at school for 7 days, and I already have a feeling of deep exhaustion. In the best of ways, but still a deep exhaustion. After many hectic and stressful yet fun days and hours of memorizing Shakespeare (let's pray it all stays in there) I am vegging out in my bed and stumbling-upon. Lovely.

However, there is a situation. Today was the day that roomie Kaitlin and I RAN OUT OF COOKIES!! The sugary sweets are gone. And these are not any sugary sweets: you can get any high-fructose garbage anywhere. I'm talking about the carby goodness that was labored over with the loving hands of a baker meticulously juxtaposing sugar, butter, eggs, and love into one miraculous and delicious hug-in-your-mouth. (I hope that doesn't sound provocative in any way because it wasn't meant to be.)

So a predicament is among us........

WHAT DO WE BAKE NEXT???????

Back at Hofstra

So it's official- I am moved in and back at Hofstra. The bed is made, with much effort because of its awesome height, clothes are in droors, and many, many pictures are on the walls. Our room looks like a wonderland of color, and I love it. So as I sit on my bed, eating my cookies and writing this post, with everything done that was supposed to get done....

I am so bored now.

Oh well. I'll enjoy it while I can.

computer craziness!

I just avoided a huge scare! Let me tell you about it...

I was on my laptop and the battery charge was low, so I went to charge it. It did not charge. My exterior was calm but my insides were screaming bloody murder- I move into my dorm tomorrow, so when would I fix it??? The charger only worked if you pushed it in the computer really hard and turned it around like one was tuning a radio. The second the pressure was released from the charger, it wouldn't register. This is a first-world terror. After many calls, website research, and multiple claims by parents of what is exactly wrong with it, a computer repair guy said it might be the charger and not the computer. We went out and got a universal charger at Staples for $100 (not my favorite part of the story, but it's certainly cheaper than a brand new computer) and all is well again.

On a non-computer related note, today is my last day at home, as mentioned before. I have been busy packing and getting last minute homey things. I baked some cookies for roomate and Spectrum executive board members, and have finally gotten my marshmallows! We're going to roast them tonight over the grill as my soon-to-be ticked off father (because of the marshmallows) grills a steak. Awesome.
here's some White Sugar cookies with blue fondant icing and a dragee.

and here's some oatmeal and coconut chocolate chip cookies!
